Southern Ohio Soles is built on teamwork. Our student representatives deliver sneakers in their schools and carry our mission into their communities, while our trustees and leadership team handle logistics, sponsors, and daily operations.

    Dayne Neff

    Co-Founder & Trustee

    Dayne Neff is one of the co-founders of Southern Ohio Soles, currently pursuing an economics degree at Yale University, where he is deeply engaged in his academic studies. Alongside his passion for economics, Dayne is also dedicated to civic engagement and philanthropy. His commitment to giving back was recognized when he received The President's Volunteer Service Award, an honor he is proud of and one that motivates him to continue his philanthropic efforts in the future. In addition to his academic and volunteer work, Dayne remotely manages Southern Ohio Soles.

    Max Gentry

    Co-Founder & Trustee

    Max Gentry, a co-founder of Southern Ohio Soles, is currently pursuing a Civil Engineering degree at The Ohio State University on a full-ride merit scholarship. With a passion for both structural design and entrepreneurship, Max is dedicated to making a positive impact in his community. He is especially committed to uplifting the people of Appalachian Ohio, balancing his academic pursuits with meaningful volunteer work. Beyond his studies, Max remotely manages Southern Ohio Soles, driving its mission and success.

    Isaac Slark

    Co-Founder & Trustee

    Isaac Slark is one of the co-founders of Southern Ohio Soles, currently studying Operations Management at The Ohio State University as a Morrill Scholar. Aside from philanthropy, Isaac has a passion for business. He has found success in the reselling industry and uses that knowledge to head the logistics of Southern Ohio Soles. Through his experiences as a young entrepreneur and nonprofit leader, Isaac has developed a diverse skill set, including management, logistics, market research, data analysis, and leadership.  In addition to his academics and entrepreneurial endeavors, Isaac remotely manages Southern Ohio Soles.

    Aaryan Pathak

    Marketing Manager & Public Relations

    Aaryan Pathak serves as a volunteer Marketing Manager for Southern Ohio Soles. He is from the Chicagoland area and is a Morrill Scholar studying Political Science & Economics at The Ohio State University. He is active in legal research, constituent services, and policy work, currently serving as a Senior Intern Manager for the U.S. House of Representatives and as a Research Assistant in the OSU Political Science Department. Passionate about public service, Aaryan aspires to pursue a career at the intersection of corporate and constitutional law within politics, with a focus on driving meaningful change through innovation and collaboration. 

  • Garrett McKinniss

    Outreach Specialist

    Garrett McKinniss is a student-athlete at Shawnee State University, where he majors in Special Education and competes as a sprinter on the track team. Passionate about serving children with special needs, Garrett combines his commitment to education with his love for athletics. He also coaches in track and is dedicated to fitness, mentorship, and making a positive impact in his community.
